Quality Control Validation Scientist

Location – Livingston 

This is an opportunity to work with an exciting, successful, growing medical device organisation. The position will based in the GMP design and manufacturing site in Livingston and the company supports medical and life sciences products. 

The business is going through substantial growth and is looking for a high profiled Quality Control Validation Scientist.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Laboratory Supervisor and Laboratory Technicians to identify the processes in the laboratory that can be better optimised
  • Undertake validation testing of new assays, methodologies and instrumentation to meet specific timelines
  • Provide training for Laboratory Technicians on new assays, methodologies and instrumentation and support assay transfer to the Quality Control Laboratory
  • Generate Validation and Technology Transfer Reports as well as SOP documentation
  • Work with the Laboratory Supervisor to identify the most appropriate protocol for each assay being developed. This will be based upon, the most up-to-date scientific literature and technologies available.

About You:

  • A Quality Control Validation Scientist/Specialist possessing relevant industrial experience
  • Strong analytical and data manipulation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to drive validation work, ensuring timelines and effective implementation are achieved
  • Educated to a minimum of BSc/BEng or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience of Medical Device regulations in relation to Quality Control Assay development and Equipment Validation is desirable.
