Entrust are currently supporting an impressive, growing science led business who are focused on delivering a comprehensive platform of services to clients requiring innovative science-based solutions.

This senior role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced analytical chemist to manage the day to day running of the analytical equipment and in addition form part of the organisations quality control team to provide testing activities that  are required to support licensed products manufactured in the UK.

General Responsibilities:

  • Recognised expert in the use of numerous analytical instruments
  • Able to perform challenging analysis as well as analysis of raw and in-process materials
  • Expert in method development and optimisation
  • Collect and record receipt of samples, raw materials from various sources and prepare for analysis
  • Ensure all activities are performed in compliance with customer and ICH procedures
  • Demonstrate strong technical competency Gained through practical knowledge over a range of techniques, for example, HPLC, LCMS, GCMS, SFC
  • Interpret analytical data accurately
  • Write and review standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Provide effective project management
  • Demonstrates understanding of the H&S requirements for the analytical chemistry department
  • In conjunction with the departmental Section Head look for ways to promote continuous improvement to help the department meet its objectives
  • Create strategies and plans which take into account innovative and new approaches to take the department forward

Ideally you will have a strong background in the following:

  • BSc/MSc/PhD in an analytical, chemical or related scientific field with demonstrated, relevant experience
  • Detailed knowledge of chemical analytical techniques both theoretical and practical
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice regulations and policies
  • Proven experience in project management and customer interaction
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills#
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and an ability to produce clear and concise reports
  • Team player
  • IT literate (e.g. Microsoft Office)
